We are pleased to welcome you to the new website of Ingenious Learning Solutions, at ingeniouslearningsolutions.com.
Since 2015, we have helped organisations in Uganda and beyond find low-cost, high-impact solutions by combining evidence, learning and technology. Our work has grown a lot in that time, and our website needed to grow with it. This new site shows what we do today, the work behind it and how to work with us.
Why a new website
When we started, most of our work was field research for universities. We managed studies for academics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Brigham Young University and the University of Virginia, and later the University of Texas at Austin. Along the way we added training and capacity building, school programmes, and, more recently, software and applied AI.
Clients often knew one part of what we do and not the others. A university partner might not know we build field software. A school might not know we run research. The new site brings all of it together in one place, organised around four service lines.
What you will find
Four service lines. Each has its own page explaining what we deliver and who it is for:
- Research: studies, surveys and monitoring and evaluation
- Educational Consulting: training and capacity building
- Software Development: platforms and digital tools
- Artificial Intelligence: applied AI and analytics
Who we serve. Our Who We Serve page explains what we do for academic researchers and universities, NGOs and development partners, government, businesses and schools.
Our work. The projects section describes studies and products we have delivered, from the Harnessing the Crowd research with UCSB and BYU to an air pollution field experiment in Nansana with UVA, UCSB and Nansana Municipal Council, and the website we built for CEGER.
Tools we have built. Our software and AI pages introduce TraceWalk, an offline-first app for field navigation and location data; ACSGuide, a field system for adaptive cluster sampling; and FieldPulse, a service that checks survey data quality every night during fieldwork.
A new home for opportunities
Since 2020, we have shared research opportunities with our network through the Ingenious Research Opportunities bulletin. That bulletin now has a permanent home in our new Opportunities hub.
You will find jobs, calls for papers, grants and fellowships, tenders and expressions of interest, and trainings and events, each with a deadline and a link to the official source. Listings close automatically once the deadline passes, so what you see is current. We never charge a fee for any opportunity we list.
This is part of something we care about: building capacity beyond our own projects. Helping researchers and professionals find funding, training and work is one small way to do that.
Insights from our work
This blog, which we call Insights, is where we will share what we learn. We plan to publish regularly across six themes: research and evidence, learning and capacity building, technology and software, AI and data, education and wellbeing, and company news.
Expect practical articles rather than marketing: how to run better field studies, what makes training stick, how to build software for real conditions, and how to use AI responsibly with sensitive data.
Built to our own standards
We built this website the way we build for clients: fast on a mobile connection, accessible to people using assistive technology, and respectful of your privacy. Analytics load only if you agree in the cookie banner, and messages sent through our contact form go to our own mail server.
