Evaluasi LLC, a US-based evaluation firm, engaged Ingenious to carry out the baseline survey for the Ethik programme in Uganda. A baseline records conditions before or at the start of a programme, so that later rounds can show what changed.
Our role
COVID-19 restrictions ruled out face-to-face interviews, so we moved the study onto the phone. We reviewed and translated the instruments, entered them into a digital data collection platform, and recruited and trained the interviewers. We then ran the survey with respondents in Lugazi and Jinja.
Across the baseline and the Ethik Endline Survey that followed in 2021, the phone surveys reached 440 respondents.
